Just how powerful is the Wii in Japan? This powerful: The mere announcement of a streaming video channel for the ubiquitous console is already causing some Japanese television executives to quake in their boots.Late in December, Nintendo announced they'd be launching just such a video-on-demand channel for the Wii in Japan this year. They've partnered with Dentsu Inc., a leading advertising firm in Japan, to produce original programming for the channel that'll be ad-supported, and they'll also be soliciting other businesses to produce original content as well. Those people are more right than they imagined.A new book, entitled 'The Race For A New Game Machine' reveals that the xbox 360's tech was built around the technology of the PS3's Cell processor. The book was written by David Shippy and Mickie Philips, two major figures behind the design of the Cell.The book reveals that back in 2001, Sony partnered with Toshiba and IBM to make the Cell chip. During its development, Microsoft approached IBM to have their own chip built around components of the Cell chip. And not just any Lego game. A Rock Band Lego game! I hope we won't see any exploding Lego artists on stage now.VG247's source claims that the information is '100 percent correct.,' though he didn't mention any other details. I would prefer Lego Halo though, too bad that was bunk.The leading Lego rumor making the rounds right now is Harry Potter, which is a more likely candidate. What happens when the voice cast of Metal Gear Solid 4 starts to believe they're really their characters in the game? They go to group therapy, duh. In a totally hilarious vid, the cast of MGS does an improv skit of what voicing a character in Hideo Kojima's world can do to you.The improv skit stars voice actors David Hayter (Solid Snake), Jennifer Hale (Naomi Hunter), Paul Eiding (Colonel Roy Campbell), Christopher Randolph (Otacon), and Quinton Flynn (Raiden). I particularly love the parts when Randolph talks about how he made his cat into Mk. II, and when they all suddenly want to be the star of MGS 5.No scripts here, so it can get pretty weird, but there's some pure comedy there, especially for fans.
