We knew it was coming eventually, but Gamasutra reports that Activision's DJ Hero will be out this year. Company CEO Bobby Kotick told CNBC reporters about the product as an example of innovation in games. 'We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year, which is a turntable that you can actually play competitively, spin discs and mix on,' he said. Kotick didn't go into further detail about how the turntable peripheral will work or when to expect the game's release. Rumors of the game have been swirling since before Activision trademarked the name, and Activision officially acknowledged its existence late last year. For a game reported to be a 'licensing nightmare', we'll have to see the company's plans for providing downloadable content on a regular basis. Even they seem to be responding to the clamor for co-op.A Sony representative contacted VG247 to say exactly that. It's the same thing as de Jonge said: 'there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2.' How many times will they have to repeat themselves?Killzone 2 is going to be fine as it is, I'm sure. Not having co-op should be the least of your worries.
